I hate, hate, hate how Rei/Mars is always put before Ami/Mercury in intros and songs and whatnot. When introducing the senshi, SailorMoon media usually goes in order of when the senshi showed up—Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus (since she didn’t actually appear in the manga/show until after the others), Uranus/Neptune, Pluto (as an actual character and not just a mysterious guardian), and Saturn. At least half the time, however, Mars will come before Mercury, and it ticks me off.

I get that Rei and Usagi have this deep OMG BFF bond, but Rei wasn’t Usagi’s first senshi friend. Ami may not be as cool as the others or whatever, but she deserves respect as Usagi’s first ally and the only one Usagi had to rely on for a while there. Besides, if anyone deserves to take her spot when introduced, it’s Minako since Venus is the actual leader and SailorMoon’s Number One.

I know it’s stupid to get so riled about something so trivial, but I love Ami and I think she gets a bum rap. She was Usagi’s only senshi friend for at least a few weeks, and she gets so much flak. Can’t she at least have her rightful place in the line-up?
